The first three episodes were incredibly subpar. The last three have been amazing.

Depending on how the finale goes, it could be AS good as the first season, but those first 3 episodes hurt it overall.

Even though the show is all about crude humor, I fucking love the themes they are exploring. In the first season, Kenny was a tragic character who watched his dreams collapse right in front of him. This season, he is getting his redemption.

I fucking love it.

I also love how David Gordon Greene has been directing nearly every single episode. Rarely do you see a director like that directing TV show episodes. It just goes to show you the relationship that these guys have together. They are all so dedicated to the show, which is why it is so god damn funny and so fucking amazing.

I trust them to not drag the show out. Season 3 sucking is a concept HBO is far too familiar with. I won't be mad if they end it. I actually think they should quit while they are ahead. If Kenny gets his redemption, there will be nowhere to go.

Kenny Powers, you may be my favorite TV character of all time. I love you. Thanks for the 12 (and 13th next week) episodes of pure awesomeness.
