The Gay Blades
I feel like these guys are vastly underrated. I've been listening to them since roughly 2009 and account for .2% of their plays on Last.fm. That may not seem like a lot but my top artist, The Beatles with 7800 plays, accounts for .002% of their plays. These guys just consist of two members, a guitarist/vocalist and drummer. They make up for their missing bass player with "consistent TNT like performances and a heaping spoonful of swagger". I'm not really good at picking out what genre they play, but their page defines them as thrash pop. With only two releases to my knowledge they like to bring it hard and fast at the beginning of their albums and then slow it down by the end. Both 'O Shot' and 'Rock N' Roll, Pt. 1' are two of my favorite opening songs to any album. Also, when searching them through the iTunes store disregard the Camp Records album listed, it's not them.
Last.fm stats: 302,489 plays (18,859 listeners)
Ghosts (2008)
Savages (2010)
