W2B is just jealous of Clooney's peppery locks.

Houston was not delivering here, so I had to save the thread.

I have about a dozen more that i'd be happy to rip if Houston doesn't step up his game by tomorrow.

W2BTD keeps making a list, and one movie on there I would groan him for falling overrated, but follows it up by posting 7 movies I agree, thereby keeping me from -repping him, however alas it has been well documented I don't care for his taste in movies for the most part.

One thing people tend to forget is that something can still be good, but overrated, most of the movies on my list are not bad movies, just movies people want to make them out to be better than they really are.

          With that my list:

          The Dark Knight
          Gladiator
          Lord of the Rings Trilogy
          Boondock Saints
          Napoleon Dynamite
          Scarface (1983)

Oh and other then the movie Heat, any Michael Mann film.

Inception - Ironic, a movie about sleeping that is so fucking boring and badly edited (it never enndddsss) that it can easily put you to sleep.

Forrest Gump - I was rooting against the tard by the end, even though Jenny is the biggest cunt in movie history.

The Fast & The Furious (and its endless sequels, especially the one with gooks driving sideways) - MAD PHAT, YO

Magnolia, Eyes Wide Shut, Vanilla Sky - The Tom Cruise triad of artsy shit that people pretend to like, but nobody really does. Unwatchable.

Animal House - I swear, the first time I watched this I was confused because I thought it was supposed to be a comedy. Where are the jokes? Perfect example of comedy evolving and not aging well over time.

Meatballs, Stripes, Caddyshack - see above. I'm still not sure Meatballs is really supposed to be a comedy, unlike Animal House which I realize is a comedy but just isn't funny.

Requiem For A Dream - I'll allow NAHSTE to handle this one. Maybe the worst non B-movie of all time. Neck and neck with the final movie at the bottom of the post...

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - ..and I thought Requiem was bad. I have to confess that I didn't watch the entire movie. I t was so fucking awful I couldn't finish. Probably the worst non B-movie i've ever seen had I bothered to finish it.

                The Dark Knight - Boring.

                The Matrix - Corny.

And the winner for the most overrated movie of all time, and also the worst movie of all time, bar none, regardless of budget or any other factor is...

What the hell is this shit? I am not ashamed to say that I have no idea what the fuck I watched, and if that means i'm not 'smart' enough to get it, so be it. Total worthless piece of shit. If you say you like this, I don't believe you.
I'll comment on a few of these.

Caddyshack is funny because of the gopher puppet and Ted Knight. Its so stupid its funny, like Three Amigos.

My biggest moment of "Please God, let this movie end" was when I saw Vanilla Sky. It was like non-stop torture.

A Clockwork Orange was interesting just because of its uniqueness, but it was a pretty pointless movie.

Oh, and good call on Crash and Inception. I was going to put those in my first post but I decided to start it off with just Boondock Saints.

Right now I have to disagree vehemently on a Clockwork Orange, I just Rewatched it for about the 10th time a couple months back, it gets better with each viewing, it is unquestionably a movie that is so dense and has so much going on it is impossible to see it all in one viewing, one of the best examples of the genius work that Kubrick did.

A total chore to watch if you have a brain.
Is crash really overrated anymore? I feel like it WAS overrated when it won best picture (STILL a head scratcher), but just about everyone I know/talk to now says it's fucking terrible.

Except for this bitch I dated in college who still gets all worked up over the "OMG HE SHOT THE LITTLE GIRL NO WAIT THEY'RE BLANKS PHEW!" scene. Gag.

some of yall get crazy over movies.

most of these are a good watch.

crash probably didnt deserve best picture but it wasnt horrible.

srs better thread would be movies you think are really good.

I would think anyone that takes these opinions too seriously are the ones crazy over movies. This is a fun thread. No great movie is as great as advertised to everyone. Enjoy the thread for what it is (i.e. an excuse to pot stir).
