    Donnie Darko
    Lawrence of Arabia
    Dr. Strangelove...

Started real good but the 2nd half was boring. I actually prefer Doctor Zhivago and another David Lean film over it.

I know that's a fave around here. Honestly though, I didn't think it was a top comedy from the year it came out.

I own this movie and have seen it a lot but I have to agree with Dell. Does not hold up after the third or fourth viewing. It drags way too much between the second and third act and the jokes begin to fall flat. The best parts of that movie are the first 30 minutes and any scene with Danny McBride.

Whiny brat throws a temper tantrum and runs away to prove a point. Problem is he doesn't actually have a point and is just being a jackass that refuses to communicate with his parents because they might ask him a tough question like "wtf is wrong with you". Has some fun, lives like a nomad, picks the dumbest place to settle, does something even dumber and dies. Its completely pointless unless they wanted to make the point that when you do stupid shit stupid shit happens to you.

Dell you know I gotta groan you for Dr Strangelove, no hard feelings, saying Donnie Darko is overrated is one thing, but no way on Dr Strangelove.

Women really aren't that funny 99% of the time, and Bridesmaids was no different. Steaming pile of unfunny shit.

It's cool, I knew someone would groan me. It just doesn't work for me. I've tried it 3 times. Some parts are funny, but large chunks of it seem to drag on and on and on.

I don't wanna pull a MVP and rate a movie I haven't completely seen. But I watched about 40 mins of Bridesmaids before I had to turn it off, all the funny parts were in the previews and they were no longer funny. I'll give it another chance when it comes on TV.

Allow me to throw this one in:

Don't ask me why but I find this to be a chore to sit through. Never got the fascination.

                              The remake was better.

I agree. However, being based on a book, they were pretty limited with the story they could tell seeing as that's how it happened in reality. I don't understand what the fascination with the story was though. I have a 'hippie' friend who thought it was cool how he left all the material trappings of the world behind. Which is all well and good, and I guess a bit 'romantic', but the mofo didn't plan shit. He deserved to die for being so fucking stupid
