Covers that are more well known than the original but you still prefer the original?

Lola vs the Powerman is my favorite The Kinks album.

Haven't got to that one yet, I've been moving pretty slow with them. But I don't understand all the praise for The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society, I personally like Something Else much more

Village Green is more of a folk album than a regular Kinks album. I think Dave Davies played guitar on only one track. Something Else is a good album, too.

Village Green is a good album, but i can see how it you could call it overrated, as I said Lola is my favorite, however I am not as versed in their early work yet either.
