They had to shoot it the way they did because Netflix couldn't afford to keep the entire original cast on set for a 15 episode shoot.

Bateman has said that Hurwitz has three acts to this story remaining, this season is act one. The next two will either be movies or more seasons of the series depending on how profitable this little endeavor turns out to be.

But yeah keep watching basically the season revolves around the same events from the different Bluths' points of view so it all weaves together throughout the season. I'm on episode seven right now and loving the way things are going.

First 2 were just alright but getting much better after that. Lindsay's face is weird.

1st episode is much funnier when you watch it a second time after watching the entire season.

I want to make this season last...going to watch 2 a week. Just noticed Netflix dropped several of Comedy Central (Viacom) shows, incl. Workaholics, South Park, and Chappelle Show.

On episode 5...definitely picking up. I've actually enjoyed every episode other than the first.

But seriously, I'm with mgoblue, what the fuck did Portia do to her face? She doesn't even look like the same person.

by episode 7 i was all in. like you said seth they are all enjoyable, but I didn't know if it was cause they were good, or I was just liking them cause I wanted to cause we finally got new episodes. they were all funny, but by 7 I really liked the new format of the show and loved how it was being laid out.

i've seen the season twice now and just like the season's prior they are even better the 2nd (or 6th) time around. episode one on first viewing seemed a bit of a letdown, the second viewing however was fantastic.

i know not everyone is going to be happy with the new rashomon style but i happen to love it and hope it does well enough for another season or at the least for the movie to get made.

one thing that i do agree with on the criticism i've read, is that there is a bit to much narration this season compared to the other 3.

I just finished last night. Overall, I'd say I enjoyed it but having just watched Season 1-3 in preparation, I felt something was off. And I think that something was Michael. Throughout Seasons 1-3 he is a well meaning, if hapless, leader of the Bluth family. In Season 4, he felt tone deaf and almost mean. That said, the last couple of episodes (George Michaels' two episodes and Busters) had some top notch material in them. Everyone says repeat viewings may help, but I found it a bit draining, so it'll be a while before I go back for more
