Recommend me a tv series to watch (new or old)

left....is sons of anarchy any good? its an FX show i think so i usually go into something like that thinking they want to be like an hbo series but cant so it ends up not being good. its basically about a biker gang or something?

In my opinion it is good enough to be a hbo series. The stuff they get away with on cable is crazy.

I will say that the first episode of Party Down is not the best by any stretch.

And I would disagree that you can tell if a show is going to be great at the end of one episode. Often times the best shows don't even hit their stride until halfway through the first season. It takes awhile to find the right tone, especially in comedy that isn't four-quadrant multi-cam trash.

And Leftwich, you better fucking watch Terriers next. It's one season for chrissakes! It could take you 2-3 days to finish!

i felt the same way about the wire. i watched 4 shows and lost interest. i couldnt understand what all the hype was about. how could so many people be wrong. i thought about going back and trying again, but just cant muster up the interest. make sure you post if you do keep going and how it ends up for you.
