      Goon -
Looks dumb as shit and the trailer was too long
      Would I watch it? Yes.
Would I pay to see it? No.
Would I watch it sober? No.

      Safe House -
Again, trailer was way too long and spoilery. It has Denzel and Brendan Gleeson, so I'll watch it, but I won't pay any money to see it.

      Silent House -
I'm sick of these gimmicky horror films. Looks awful, pass.

      Chronicle -
Sick of the found footage gimmick, but this looks awesome. Good to see Wallace doing some cool shit. I'll see it.

Gotta catch up on too much 2011 before I get to the Q1 releases that are 99% shit. Usually, there is one good one in Q1 that stands out.

Funny, in last year's Q1 thread, after ol Buzzy, I put this list together...some are late 2010 arrivals, but late 2010 in NY/LA and wide release everywhere else. Kind of like Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy this year, for a recent example.

I'd be a dick if I didn't list any of mine...so here they are.

I'd recommend seeing recent releases like True Grit, Black Swan, and The Fighter over anything listed here.

Biutiful - Javier Bardem > you and everyone you know.
The Way Back - Ed Harris, Colin Ferrell, et al in a Peter Weir flick.
Unknown - Liam Neeson on a one-man mission and killing everyone in his path...a formula that seemingly never gets old. Probably a DVD flick.
Blue Valentine - A strong DVD rental.
Frankie and Alice - Hallie Berry is supposed to be very good in this flick. Going to wait for this on DVD.
Rango - There is seemingly, always a first quarter animated film that comes away with a lot of praise. Will it be Rango? I guess we'll it have to see.
Sanctum - I guess I'll give it a try...it doesn't look awful. Would be a DVD flick, but I'm waiting to see what critics think of the 3D work. Would be the only reason to see it in the theater.
Source Code - Directed by the same guy who directed a surprise film from 2009, Moon. Definite DVD flick at this point.

Overall, a ridiculously weak Q1 of 2011 that will rely on the power of 2010 films to help numbers, as per the usual. A few potential DVD surprises though could be in the mix. Maybe that is actually par for the course for this time of the year.
Ended with some good flicks in that bunch.

Of Buzzman's 2011 Q1 flicks, the one that surprised was Lincoln Lawyer.

From this list...my best guess at the film that'll be good...Haywire.

Here is the trailer for Kill List, I think some here would like it, it seems to be getting rave reviews from when it was shown at festivals and such. Firsthshowing.net said "I've seen it and it's about as eerie and wacky as you can get, but original and brilliant as well."

That looks fantastic. Really well-made trailer.

the chronicle looks fucking awesome, and not just because Wallace is in it, although, that also makes it look pretty fucking awesome.
