Shut up and go see The Artist

    I mean it. Don't talk. It's a silent movie.

This movie was fantastic. You might be bored for the first five minutes (I was getting a little worried that I'd start dozing off) and then once you make it past that initial adjustment the movie is absolutely top notch. I hope it takes the Academy Award in every category that it was nominated in.

I haven't seen this movie yet, but to me it is interesting that it is getting so much praise, while Gary Oldman has been criticized for not talking enough and being too silent in TTSS.

Thats because TTSS isn't a great movie. Its a snooze fest that spends way too much time emphasizing every words that comes out of his damn mouth.

This isn't a TTSS thread. They don't even compare at all. Shut up and go see The Artist.

I actually don't like the ending to this.

            I would have loved..................

If he actually killed himself. It ended too heart warming to me.

The dream sequence was pretty damn cool. Reminded me of the one from Wild Strawberries.

I did some Google research to see if there was anything written about a connection, but couldn't find anything. So maybe it's just me.

Was gonna see it this weekend and both Saturday and Sunday had something come up that prevented it. Hope to see it soon though.

The Artist is a brilliantly made movie. Go see it in theaters, but buy a ticket for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, watch that and then go see the Artist right after. Classic double feature.

My girlfriend and I are going to start going to the movies more often because there's a local Laemmle theater that's only 7 bucks for students if you have your ID. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is next on the list, and then some foreign stuff.
