    The Raid: Redemption

This movie looks excruciatingly awesome. They added "Redemption" to the name for some reason which is stupid, but nonetheless this is looking to me like the best action film since District B13.

Soundtrack by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park and Joseph Trapanese of M83.

Limited release next month, no idea how much of a release it will get eventually. Really really hope it comes to Milwaukee though.

The Raid: Redemption, which followed up its ridiculously-buzzed festival run with $220,937 in only 14 locations, giving it a huge $15,781 per theater average. The foreign action film, which is staging a English-language remake as we speak, will expand to additional theaters next weekend, and could be on its way to becoming one of this year's biggest success stories.
    Jesus christ.

Are you even going to be able to see it? Im lucky enough to have a theater showing it first week of April.

I am not sure how expansive the release will get but hopefully if it continues to do well it will come to the main indie theater in Milwaukee. This is the kind of all-out action porn that I am confident will be worth seeing in the theater vs. waiting a few months and streaming it.

Apparently the sequel is taking place only 2 hours after the first movie.

Sounds like a great double feature.
