You can have no filler and still not have it feel rushed. What took Aang 3 years to accomplish felt like a cakewalk for Korra in being able to enter the Avatar state freely. I get that it was supposed to be one season but they changed it into two, but that doesnt mean you cant adjust and rewrite some things, but that's all mute since we know nothing of season 2 at this point. And to say we got no filler is wrong, there was a lot of subplot that could have been chopped off.

Disagree and I don't think they were trying to improve on anything. One thing that excited me about Korra(even before it started) was that they purposely contrasted the show from the first series. So it's really just a matter of which style you prefer.

The Last Airbender had 60 something episodes, Korra had 12.
The Last Airbender was a character driven plot, Korra is a story driven one.
The Last Airbender was an epic, Korra took place in one city.

Two completely different shows. How can you "complain" that a 12 episode action show has less character development than a series 5 times its length? That'd be like if I went back to watch The Last Airbender and then complained that its first 12 episodes aren't as good as Korra's first 12, and that the story isn't moving along fast enough.

Series has been expanded to 52 episodes. I'm very interested in seeing what direction they'll take from here.

Was thinking about this the other day during work to pass some time: How would a live action Korra movie be casted/directed?

Director: Edgar Wright A director who can consistently blend action and comedy within a universe that works. Also he's highly committed to his projects and pleasing fans of previously made material. His dedication to recreating Scott Pilgrim was crazy. Going to every location the creator drew from and bringing it to life. Unlike in the shitty M.Night Avatar, the comedic value of the series wouldn't have to be completely absent.

              Tenzin played by:

              Korra played by:

              Lin Bei Fong played by:

All I thought of so far. Feel free to add more.

Just wait 5 years and then cast Arya Stark in the title role.

Your Tenzin/Ling picks are spot on though.

It is, that's why I didn't post any sort of fap gif to go along. Clips like those are just reminder and proof that the show is going on.

I really enjoyed book one. I wonder if they'll regret killing off the big bad since they didn't expect a second book initially.

I doubt it. There is so much to tell. Like this book will be her journey into the spirit world and truly learning her avatar abilities.
