    Frozen Planet

    Record this last night and watched it today... Pretty interesting stuff, and there is a POLAR BEAR FIGHT in the first 5 minutes as well as an epic Bison vs Arctic Wolves battle royale... Only downside is that they got Alec Baldwin to narrate it... I wish they would just use the David Attenborough versions the BBC uses, b/c he is so much better than anyone else on earth at narrating things like these...

    Anyways, I think its going to be on for the next few weeks, and its a lot like Planet Earth, in that its visually breathtaking in HD...

      I love the "Under The Ice" one and the stuff on Orcas. Nature shows like these are the best.

                                      agreed im looking for the Attenborough version as we speak. I was watching Frozen Planet and immediately had to google to see if Attenborough did the BBC version because Baldwin was bugging me.

                                          I turned this on when to walrus looking creatures were biting necks and shit. Does anyone know what those were? Were they walrus? or a super seal?

                                                      I watched this for a little bit while flipping through the channels.

                                                      A couple of things:
                                                      * I couldn't believe that those black and brown caterpillars live for 12-15 years.
                                                      * We all know bears hibernate, but it's still crazy to think that a mother bear will produce milk for her cubs for four months without eating anything herself.

                                                          How did they know that ONE caterpillar was oldest in the world ? caterpillar license ?

                                                          The norwal part made me laugh...ruined there internet rep. Good show.
