The finale was superb. At first I thought it was a little underwhelming given the last two season finales, but looking more into it, there was a ton of great imagery. Also, dat look:


Don started the series with a wife who was dependent on him to get work. He wanted independent women, so he slept around. He found Megan, who he thought was an independent women who could find success on her own. But, as the series comes full circle, Megan has turned into another Betty, relying on Don to land her gigs. The old, womanizing Don is back.

The prior episodes stole the thunder away from this finale. I agree, the last few finales have been much better.

the finale was lackluster compared to the prior seasons but i think as a whole this season was one of the best.

i loved the theme that nothing was going to be same as it ever was and that there is something rotten to the core about these people and that everything they do is a "temporary bandage over a permanent wound"

i can't wait for next season where hopefully don goes back to his philandering ways, which is pretty evident he will with that cut to black ending.
