Very few shows can make it past season 5 and still be good.

A show about a serial killer is bound to go stale after 4-5 seasons.

I'll still watch it, but it's not one of my top 3-5 shows to watch anymore. It's still in the top 10...I think. I just watch it to see what they do, as opposed to watching to guess what's going to happen or get excited/nervous because of what happens like I used to.

Season 4. Easily one of the best seasons.

Since then the show has declined. No good villains. Storyline's been all too similar.

They needed to focus and create better villains. They also needed to introduce better characters. They also shouldn't dumb down all of Miami Metro so much. Having Dexter not kill the bad guy all the time would have been good, too.

But it's all too late now anyway. Season 7. This show should have finished in 5. They're just milking it now.

They seem to be more inept than any other police department, and I know you have to have it this way for the show, but I find it hard to believe there could ever be a Dexter. Great show, love it but that's a very valid point against it.

I haven't seen the sixth season, I'll be doing a marathon when it comes out on Blu Ray to get ready for the 7th. I haven't kept up on names, but I do know Ray Stevenson is in it, and that's promising from a villain standpoint.

I did that for season 6 by just streaming every episode over a 3 or 4 day span.

Season five was a steaming pile of garbage, but I thought season six was pretty good. Was it Trinity good...of course not, but I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to season 7.
