yea what does it matter how big his role was? i know he wasnt the lead but still every character i thought was great. its not like he was an extra or something.

im not saying hes the best or should be, i was just commenting how the past few years seems like every movie hes in is a great movie.

Fair enough, he has chosen his scripts well lately. Just seemed a bit at first like saying "boy, Dennis Rodman sure has had a great run!" after the Bulls three-peat.

I like JGL a lot though, just don't see him as a true "leading male" type yet. He's more of the "friendly dude who everyone can get along with" type, which is why I think he would have been perfect as Nick Carraway in the new Gatsby remake instead of Tobey fuckin' Maguire.

i never figured him for the leading male role either before but it seems like hes 'maturing' with each role. im not sure if he could ever carry a big blockbuster by himself but i wouldnt be surprised if he did and i would watch it for sure.

Which movies of his are you referring to exactly?

He's been in some good movies and some pretty bad movies. Not everything he touches has turned to gold, though. Same goes for most actors.

i havent seen some of them but dark knight rises, inception, 50/50, 500 days. Then im assuming looper and linocln are going to be great. throw in the smaller older roles.

I cant think of one actor the past few years i can say i really enjoyed 4 movies from.

Thing is, batman and inception werent movies he starred in really. I don't get why a lot of you like 500 days so much, movie was boring and annoying to me.

Looper should be entertaining but it also looks like it might be pretty fucking stupid.

JGL roles were as big as a role one can expect from a supporting actor in those movies. hell in inception he had tht fight scene down the hallway.

Nah I said you overrate the fuck out of him and are on his nuts, which is true. JGL is cool and all but the fanboys at VSN overrate him (and Gosling). This thread is a perfect example though, thanks for bumping.
