Who are the female equivalents of people like Gosling, Fassbender, JGL, etc. that are right on the brink of reaching that next level of elite success like Jolie, Portman, Knightley have had in the past decade or so. Headliner potential in demanding roles in major movies on a consistent basis.

Jennifer Lawrence is the easiest answer, and she pretty much is already there. Emma Stone seems on the brink but I am wondering if she can give a real serious and dramatic performance in a leading role, I haven't seen The Help but it seemed that the tone was a little intentionally tongue-in-cheek.
