yeah, i agree. i didnt get that ending at all. seems totally unrealistic to think she would get away with not following orders and doing whatever she wanted. but looking at next weeks previews it looks like that is exactly how it will play. its things like that that really bother me about this show

if she had gotten the ok to go in his room, then ok, no problem....but u have to think that the CIA would frown upon rogue agents doing whatever they want when given direct orders...especially someone like her who is already a mental midget...sure she was right about brodie, but that doesnt change the fact that she was acting like a complete nut job. I would think she is on an even shorter leash with her history

dont you think that makes her actions far worse? that would open her up to criminal charges. she blew up an operation to find out the plot behind a major attack on the USA based on a hunch. she was given direct orders to get out.

all they had to do was give her the ok..but instead they went the crazy rogue agent route..again...they did it also in Beruit when she doubled back to get that info. She almost got herself and Saul killed for that...so she got her pass for it because she was right about brodie.

how many passes does she get? and who the fuck would want to work with someone who jeopardizes every operation and cant follow orders?

yeah i think the show is very interesting too. its been great this season. little things like this carrie shit were sprinkled throughout the show last season too. just enough to create some little holes in the plot. maybe they will have a good answer to it next week.

i kind of would have liked to see where they go with the cloak and dagger routine. its seemed like they wanted to go that way and then at the end they do a complete 180

Completely agree. I thought interrogation episodes would last at least 2 episodes. While the scene with Brody and Carrie was amazing. I leave this episode a little annoyed.

I knew it was going to happen soon or later with Brody flipping just not this early.

This show has been begging to turn Brody face since the end of last season and has essentially dedicated the entire first half of the season to set it up for the face turn while also putting Carrie back in a position of power in the CIA...essentially, undoing every turn during the last 3 episodes of last season.

There wasn't even any resistance to any idea otherwise, hell, they haven't even given Carrie a title back within the CIA...she's just "back" and as crazy as ever...and they just swung Brody with the full face turn complete with a Mick Foley-esque cheap pop.

Who in the fuck signed off on the idea of uber crazy Carrie being the point man of this operation? Now, an affair is the cover for a stealth national security operation and that affair involves a former agent who is known to be obsessed and "in love" with the john of this operation.

Claire Daines does play a great crazy chick, though.

The first thing she does when she gets with Brody alone BOTH TIMES is start talking crazy shit about their "relationship" that really was just a back seat fuck and weekend in a cabin.

Definitely plays a good crazy bitch doh...in the middle of an interrogation...she goes crazy chick...AND IT WORKS TO TURN THE JIHADIST.

I think it's jumping to a conclusion, and not a dated happy days reference - I can't believe anyone buys that guy "flipped". He faced a situation where he was off to Guantanamo for the rest of his life or make a weak ass promise to batshit insane Carrie and try to play the angles. Brody is, ultimately, a very weak man and will do whatever he has to do to save his own skin - you can't "flip" that guy back, he's playing for his own team and has been since the phone call with his daughter.

The whole point to the show, and has been since the very beginning, is figuring out whose side Brody is really on - but they are clinging to that plotline just a little too much. You can't just reset plotlines like that and keep doing the same things. Can't have episodes that mean nothing in a show where every detail matters. It's still the best show on television, top 3 most thrilling/edge of your seat shows i've ever seen, but I am anxious for the show to move forward now that the die has been cast yet again.
