Neither main character is likable at this point is a big issue going forward with the show. Carrie is being portrayed by some obsessive savant and Brody a weak, easy to manipulate man.
This, I guess, is what Showtime wanted...the focus on the Brody-Carrie relationship and by doing so, it defies all levels of believability the show had in Season 1.
Carrie isn't even fully employed by the CIA anymore, but she's able to come, go, and do what she pleases and the heads of government are like "well...ok"...Comment

Yeah, show is getting into iffy territory and running out of story fast. Hoping the Nazir from that episode was either a body double, or just a puppet for the real #1 in command, who will carry out some sort of mission from here.

The show is still really good, but more like 24 good, not Homeland Season 1 good.
Also, they are really cutting Saul's character's balls off with all of the corporate hang ups with he and Estes.Comment

Everyone on this show is terrible at their job except for Carrie. If you have the biggest terrorist in the world and you think he was or is in a building, you tear that thing apart, not walk through it twice and throw your hands up.
Nazir also sucks at being a terrorist. Killed the vp was all he really accomplished in America. I kept waiting for something bad to happen and then maybe Brody sees this guy for the monster he is but it never does.
I can't see any realistic, within the bounds of the show, stuff happening to right the ship. The only card they have is someone being a mole.

I'm also curious how this is going to turn out. I agree season one was better, but this is still a very good show. At the end of the last episode since it was known there was a hit out on Brody I was waiting for a bullet to come flying in at any moment, especially when everyone had gone inside. For me atleast it is really hard to guess where they're going to go with it now, which could be a good thing. Definitely a chance Brody gets killed off next episode. The next episode is called "The Choice", which seems like a big part is going to be some battle Quinn has with himself about killing Brody now that it seems he has grown fond of Carrie."It's the revenge of the dicks that's nine cocks that cock nines"Comment

There's a New York Times writer who Andy Greenwald has jumped on board with totally...
So Brody has been running a game on Carrie and the CIA the whole time. Once the vest failed he and Nazir knew Walker had to be taken out so they did so. Brody was obviously aware the CIA was onto him because of what happened in season one at the cabin and relayed the message to Nazir. Thus the need for a new plan...
The Brody video was planted for the CIA to find making his capture possible and allowing the CIA to believe they were able to double him. Nazir was willing to sacrifice himself for the cause and killing the VP to avenge Assa (the most coherent Brody has looked this whole season is while the VP was dying and he was basically gloating over it... think about it)..
Nazir allows himself to be captured via that BBC broad basically giving away the his location (which happened so easily from a woman who seconds earlier totally outclassed Carrie in the interrogation that it had to be intentional) and the CIA thinks they have this shit on lock...
...there's a bigger plot being hatched and I think Estes and the Black Ops guys know what it is or at least have some idea. At least I hope that's what's going on.Comment
