The last 2 episodes have driven me nuts, lazy writing

Carrie goes back to the place, with her loud ass shoes and grabs a pipe? Come on, plus she dropped it!

After they can't find Nazir and she blows the interrogation, they let Carrie drive home alone AGAIN, you know crazy Carrie isn't going home

Than she finds the hidden wall after 2 sweeps didn't, 3 guys break off and 1 dude left with Carrie, you know he was gonna die, then Nazir slits his throat, has no guns for some strange reason and doesn't pick up the assault rifle on the floor, gets a hold of Carrie again! But only gets a couple throws in before they get him

24: Homeland is both the smartest and dumbest show I've ever met.

Showtime pulling rank and turning this show into a love affair between Carrie and Brody has taken this show from the heights of amazing to "wtf" in the span of one season.

Its still a fun show...but the relationship between Carrie and Brody lacks any kind of sense and is the laziest writing that attempts to defy logic that I've ever seen. It is forced and contrived and not interesting whatsoever.

Saul and Peter Quinn...bosses. Great, smart, well thought out characters.

I compare that whole season to a shitty team throwing the season for the number 1 draft pick.. it was ugly the whole way but that finale was very good. Definitely didnt see it going down like that.. and the writers, who seemed to kind of back themselves into a wall came with some possible show saving shit here. Well done.

That's a good analogy. Another analogy I would use, it was like a 9-7 NFL team that snuck in the playoffs, only to play its best football when it mattered most. God damn that finale was so good, that I'm willing to forget the previous four-five weeks were "eh" ...

This season was like...a mulligan.

Last season's entire purpose was for Brody to kill the VP and a ton of the members of congress while being the sympathetic heel throughout...and it was done in an incredibly smart way...it won awards...it was fantastic television...but, Showtime pulled rank and said "you can't kill Damien Lewis!"...so, they backed off still ended the show smart and the season was a classic.

THEN, they realized damn...we accomplished nothing, so this entire season was based on undoing all of the storyline from last year....forcing these two characters together, and yielding the same result (blowing up the CIA and killing the VP) while maintaining Brody as the reason behind it, but keeping him face, and putting Carrie and Brody together.

God damn, I like this show, but it can be fucking silly.

Also are you guys convinced Brody is innocent and was set up as the patsy by Nazir? He was already acting weird in that room before he "noticed" his car had moved. Plus when they showed him rendezvousing with Carrie after they both left, he was shown coming from outside.

Eh, my guess is he's just a patsy. This show went from super smart to 24-cliche...so, I won't spend the off-season thinking its anything but Brody being a patsy.
