That finale was damn good. My nigga Saul gunna be runnin shit next season...got his ol' girl coming back and he's in charge of everything now.

The first 20 minutes of that episode were BRUTAL tho, just Brody and Carrie lovefest. After those first twenty mins tho, the episode got awesome.

Shit was like watching paint dry, up until the scene with Dana and Brodie in the bedroom. THAT scene was unbelievably tense.

I wasnt sure until he didnt kill Carrie. I thought he was going to kill Carrie in the forest and then go on the run on his own. What also made me believe hes just a patsy is the convo between Dana and the FBI agent when she insists he didnt do it.. Who knows you better then the person who was just bitching 5 minutes before about not really knowing you? Subtle hint in the writing, or im nuts, who knows.

Im still not 100% sure either way, but that can only be a positive for the future of this show.

Brody is running game like I said before. He and Nazir hatched that shit while during the scenes they only cut to during the meet up.

BBC Broad was sure to give up Nazirs location so the feds could take him out and drop their guard.

Brody has an in with the CIA and the worst case scenario for him was that he goes out a martyr.. instead he's got an operator of a CIA field office who will at least start off season three trying to clear his name.

This show needs to be 8 episodes a season though.. way too much dead plot time on a weekly basis.

Between that and him basically coming clean to Dana about shit earlier...

Yeah, he was pretty much saying goodbye to Carrie.

I'm obviously not going to read any of this thread because I haven't watched a single episode, let a lone season 2. But I've heard it's awesome and want to get into it and so I just ordered season 1 from Amazon. FYI it's only $19.99 on bluray right now.

The S1 blu-ray is great, especially the feature that lets you play all 12 episodes sequentially in one giant 12 hour timeline and it remembers where you left off.

We now know for sure that Damian Lewis‘ Nicholas Brody will be back in the third season of Homeland, but new hints have emerged about the nature of the next chapter in the spy thriller’s saga.

On the back of the show’s Golden Globe success, exec producer Alex Gansa confirmed that Season 3 will undergo something of a reset, corroborating earlier suggestions from the creative team that the Carrie/Brody storyline had reached its peak, while perhaps speaking to the difficulty of maintaining a focused overarching narrative without it hitting some bumps as it did at times last season.

                            Gansa told EW:

“It is a little bit of a reset, but it is really promising at the same time.”

Gansa implied that new characters would enter the fray, as they did in Season 2:

“For instance, Quinn is an amazing character that had a really slow ramp up but a strong amazing finish.”
Really had no choice but hopefully this show doesn't suck next season.

JUst finished this Season. Had it on torrent but was able to DVR all of them when I had free Showtime a few weeks ago and they did a marathon. Agree with just about everyone here. Not as good as season 1, but still great to watch. Did get tired of the relationship crap. Dana/Finn storyline was turrrrrible. 3 eps before the finale had me worried this show was going to Shitsville, U.S.A. IMO, the Carrie/Nazir/old mill and tracking him down eps where poorly done. Like someone said, she goes back by herself after just getting set free, and is walking around with a pipe? GTFO. However, finale was epic, didn't see the CIA event coming.

Saul is a boss. Quinn is a hoss.

Quick note about Season 3. Just saw an article, which I only read briefly because I didn't want to spoil the rest of season2 I hadn't watched. that stated Damian Lewis and Claire Danes are going at it on set. Guess Danes is starting to get a big head and also is quick to want to get shit over with because she wants to get back home to her new child.

If Brody and Nazir were working together and Carrie had to escape for Nazir to be found and for the plan to continue...then why did Brody demand that Nazir give proof that Carrie was let go safely? Also why were they even arguing in the first place over the phone? Brody was sweating it out in the office like he genuinely thought Carrie might die, which clearly wouldn't be the plan if he was working with Nazir.
