Holy shit the chapter where Dany buys the Unsullied was fucking awesome.

I'd say that scene definitely lived up to my expectations. It's interesting how they dealt with Selmy since they can't really hide who he is on screen. Waiting for the moment that he outs Mormont. Also sad not to see Belwas.

How about that scene in the first ep with Catelyn regarding Jon Snow? I thought that was a weird addition.

I haven't read the originales in a long time, so, my memory sucks...

Did Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen run away together or was she kidnapped and raped? I seem to recall it being a lot more of a Helena of Troy situation moreover the tale Robert spoke of with kidnappin and raping.

This came up in regards to Jon Snow being some super Stark-Targaryen hybrid master, and ruler, of the world discussion and my memory was fuzzy.

Left ambiguous but there are enough hints that point to it being consensual. When Meera and Joen tell Bran the story of the Harrenhall tournament it clicked to me. It's when Rhaegz and Lyanna first fell in love. Robert just could never admit to himself the truth, and Ned humored him.

Count me as a subscriber to the Ralph Lauren Jeans theory. But the only one living character who knows for sure is Howland Reed, who was with Ned when Lyanna died, and Gurrmz has kept him out of the action for now.

Howland lets the cat out of the bag at some point, probably toward the end of the series after Dany gets her destruction on.

so excited to see the Bran storyline now that he is with the Children of the Forest.

Arya has been slipping down my list of favorite characters for awhile. might be because she was been pretty predictable in the 4th book. at least Cersei got what was coming to her. fucking Lannisters slowly going down. hope Jaime lasts ... Tyrion is getting boring for me. he needs to arrive at that place (forgot destinations name?) already or pirates need to take him. pretty sure Danny won't be there if he does get there, but something exciting should happen either way

Lord John Stark would have been so awesome, so awesome. do you think he is actually Ned Stark's kid?

Samwell storyline doesn't show much promise to me at this point ... maybe i'm wrong and the dude he met in Oldtown is going to change things up big time?

i feel sorry for Reeeeeeek. wonder what special mission they have coming up for him
