Just about done with S1.

Definitely has a 'Weeds' feel to it. Similar to when you are watching Mad Men or Boardwalk and immediately recognize style, tone, & cinematography similarities to The Sopranos, or Treme to The Wire, same thing here in relation to Weeds. So that means characters who are mostly caricatures, and a "TV world" prison as opposed to anything resembling a realistic depiction of one. Guards & administrators are played for buffoons, everything is played for laughs, etcetera.

I'm notoriously impatient & picky and sort of a snob when it comes to TV, and i'm going to finish this, so there is that. It's not a try hard show like the awful Ray Donovan, and while it's never particularly griping, it's never boring either.

This is Weeds in a prison. If you're expecting a serious TV prison drama, lower your bar. If you're expecting Oz in a women's prison, well, no. Decent time killer, mildly amusing, it's holding my attention, but it's not something you're going to seriously sink your teeth into.

I'm only 5 episodes in, and I agree with the Weeds feel(loved the show before it got extra ridiculous). I will continue and probably keep up with it as long as it is around.

Welp, I burned through this in like two days.

On one hand, that's what's awesome about Netflix, but on the other hand, if you really dig a show you have a really long wait before you power watch again for another 32 hours.

That being said I'm on episode 8 so far, and I like the show it's pretty good. This is the second Netflix Exclusive that I've watched, with House of Cards (that show is incredible) being the 1st.

I don't know, I'm on board W2B. It's pretty good, pretty shameless, doesn't take itself too seriously, and the girlfriend likes it. Usually a pretty good combo for my evening TV decompression.

Weeds got pretty bad. It wasn't a length, so much as a similar rationale I got from Dexter and shit like that...where I'm committed and just want the fucking show over already.
