    Decent first episode.

On the surface, the though seems somewhat intriguing (mostly just because it's focused on sex, though). I don't know how they'll manage to keep it interesting. I'm sure they'll just recycle the same storylines that most dramas like this seem to (adultery, domestic violence, backstabbing, etc.).

This show will never be great. I'm prepared to say that.

      However, it is certainly watchable.

Showtime doesn't allow for great television. Too much #studioinvolvement

Showtime is notorious at this point for not getting out of their own way.

Yup, exactly. Dexter, Weeds, and Homeland have all suffered from it. I'm sure Showtime had a hand in that trainwreck of a finale for Ray Donovan too. I haven't seen a second of Masters of Sex yet, but I refuse to get myself too excited about it, even though it has my number 1(a) girl in it. Showtime ruins everything.

The show is fine, certainly watchable, but I question where they can go with it. Seems like it would be better suited as a movie, or maybe a mini series.

In that respect, very similar to Homeland, which clearly was a one season story now being dragged out.

Homeland was a one season story that COULD have developed into so much more.

Season One needed to end with Brody blowing up. From there, you could have introduced Peter Quinn and started expounding more on the CIA.

Showtime takes lessons from the Vince McMahon School of Subtlety. Claire Danes' character has become a parody of itself. Her FUCKING CHIN POUT and her ridiculous craziness was like a quirk about her, she was an awesome CIA agent, just a stage 5 clinger and crazy...but those were secondary aspects of her character. She was first and foremost, a great CIA agent. Two seasons later, she's just a raving mad crazy chick. The love interest story between said crazy chick and the terrorist was a wrinkle to the story...but since, THEY'VE MADE IT THE WHOLE STORY. Frustrating.

I actually thoroughly enjoy everything about Peter Quinn, Saul and the rest of the CIA and the shit they are doing...but the Danes character is the drizzling shit. Also, how many shows do THE KIDS have to ruin before they stop putting these useless, channel changing characters on TV. No one wants to see THE KIDS on any TV show, especially not one on terrorism.

Epidose 3 was really good, seems like the reviews that said this takes a bit to round into form were correct. I'm legit excited about next week.
