    To be honest, I don't see either Garfield or Tobey as a "perfect" Spiderman in any way. There are a few times that the casting hits the character out of the park (RDJ as Iron Man for example)...but here...they are ok, just not upper echelon castings.

            Agree. I think Shitbrick (Jason Stackhouse ... whatever his real name is) could be a great Venom if he bulks up a bit more. He definitely nailed the role in the short film.

            As for Tobey... he was shit, honestly. He completely sucked as Spiderman. Spidey needs to be the wise-cracking skinny guy who really has no reason fighting crime except for his powers. Tobey was a giant vagina.

                    I remember Sony having a press release after Spider man 2 broke every box office record at the time, that the franchise had already green lit sequels until spidey 6

                    Venom cant even sustain a comic book by himself much less a solo movie, god damn Spider-man 3 venom sucked

                            An aspect of Peter Parker that these movies actually hit on that the Raimi movies COMPLETELY missed/ignored is that this Peter Parker kid is a fucking GENIUS, not just some random high schooler. He could hold his own in a room with Tony Stark and Bruce Banner talking shop and not miss a beat.
