I absolutely loved it. I'm also very intrigued by the possibility of multiple seasons with different characters, especially if the leads are always big name actors.

There is a danger in this formula. American Horror Story had a cool S1, but went right into the shitter with an utterly unwatchable S2.

Either way, this premier was tits. Looks great so far.

My brother actually told me the same exact thing. I've never watched AHS before and had no idea it used that formula.

Regardless..say True Detective goes 5 seasons, each with completely different cases. There will end up being a particular season or two that isn't as enjoyable as the rest due to the setting, actors, or whatever. It's inevitable.
