This isn't a serious question, right? LA Confidential is good, but come on.

Both are really good, but Chinatown's script is considered one of the best screenplays ever written. Basically perfection.

LA Confidential is gr8 and I noticed on RT it only has 1 negative review.

HOWEVA, there are only a handful at the most of movies that are better than Chinatown. LA Confidential isn't one of them.
