Anybody care to speculate how the Citadel conspiracy plays into everything? Why is Jaqen in Oldtown?

Do people here think Jon will be king (I'm not speaking in riddles or formulas in this spoiler thread)? I don't think that he will and I really hope that he doesn't. I do think that there is no possible outcome for his birth other than by Rhaegar and Lyanna. It makes too much sense, and with the amount that it has been withheld, it'd be a huge bummer if his mom is just a wetnurse.Comment

Somewhat unrelated: used an abundance of Audible tokens to get books 1-4.Comment

Where his lineage will come into play is after Dany conquers Westeros with dem dragons, the information that Jon is actually Rhaegar's son will be enough for Dany to allow him rule the north amicably. (That, and the whole "we defeated the white walkers for you" card he'll be able to play... and that Selmy has always spoken highly of the Starks when Dany lumps them in with the rest of the "usurpers dogs" as she calls them.)
All of this would require Howland Reed showing up, with possession of Robb's letter, I suppose... He's the only living person remaining who knows what happened at the Tower of Joy, for one, and for two, the forces Robb deployed with the letter were on their way to meet up with him in the Neck.Comment

I don't think he'll become king of the realm, I think he will be freed from his vow and eventually be named Lord of Winterfell (Robb's letter is somewhere out there, giving him the claim over Bran or Rickon right?) and King in the North.

Also, I like the idea of Arya being sent to kill Qyburn because of his necromancy, setting up an internal conflict with Arya as to whether she should kill Cersei or not. I also need to brush up on this, as there was a theory I remember being on board with that I can only vaguely remember. Into the rabbit hole I go.Comment

I've got Sansa as favorite for the throne right now, but that storyline is probably the one I care least about at this point.Originally posted by mgoblue2290If you want to win, put Drew in.Comment

Very first thing I read was "Jaqen is sent to the Citadel to steal a book about dragons. There is one at the Wall and in the Citadel." Bringing back the memories. This ties into the idea that Euron hired the FM to kill Balon and paid with the dragon egg he drunkenly threw off of his ship for no reason.Comment

Who else is there besides Lady Stoneheart and Beric? Also it seems like just between those two the circumstances are different. Beric slowly loses himself each time and his memories fade. LSH was out for awhile longer and returns significantly more messed up.
Robert Strong is some sort of black magic/Qyburn special.
I don't think Rob Strong is a "special" if the prophecy Bran had comes true. IF he's missing a head its pretty hard to believe he's half alive.Comment

No way Dany doesn't assist in fighting The Others. One theory I've read has Jon as the King of Winter and basically it's showdown between him and Dany, Ice and Fire. Either way Jon will be King of something but I doubt he survives the series. Sansa will definitely end up running something too, she's learned so much.
Also blood magic requires a literal blood sacrifice, do we know if a person was sacrificed to revive Beric each time? Can't remember them saying that. Was he technically the sacrifice for LSH?
Also you guys should check out the Howland Reed as the new High Septon fan theory. Some quality detective work in there.Comment

Victarion Greyjoy, to an extent.
