I thought that most of the book readers were in permanent panty bunched mode over even the smallest book changes?
I haven't minded most of them, although there were some in episode 4 that I really don't see what's going to happen (Jaime/Tyrion particularly). I actually like the Bran shit WAY more than just about anything Bran has done post book 1.Comment

I'm sick of /r/asoiaf now. Will return to it after the TV season is over.
Every. Fucking. Thread: "So, I was on a re-read of ASOS..." And now it's also, "So, I was re-watching the latest episode last night..."
These kids can't pick up subtleties on the first go-round or what? So annoying. INB4 "there's nothing new to read or watch" excuse.
I'm convinced that this is only happening because it's the time of year with TV show episodes dropping regularly. Hopefully this subreddit will mellow out in September or something. Then it will go bonkers with that new World of Ice and Fire book coming out in November. I will be sure to avoid the subreddit when that drops.[REDACTED]Comment

That's the best part of that subreddit man. Some of those guys read the books like they're studying for an exam.Comment

Re: Last night's troublesome Yara/Asha and Theon scene ...
I did not like it, it was fucking dumb and doesn't fit with the larger narrative, nor does it provide any characterization for her...
HOWEVER, I'm trying to accept it and reconcile how this fits into her book story. Ostensibly, Theon is dead to her and no longer worth saving in her estimation, but we need her to decide to attempt to rescue him again in order to have her captured by Stannis's army. The only possible reason she'd have to resume her rescue efforts is that she realizes she needs him to invalidate the Kingsmoot.
This leads me to believe we will get to Baelon's death in the next couple of episodes, and the Kingsmoot will be at some point between then and episode 10.Comment

Yeah that scene was pointless really. Other ways to show Theon can't rule. I think we get a Kingsmoot next season.Comment

Great fucking question.
Also would like to know what's going to happen with Brienne now that Rorge/Biter are dad and Gendry isn't around. Theoretically Pod could stand in for Gendry and save her, but at this point it's looking like she never gets attacked at the inn.Comment
