      Fuckin A. Wow...

Had the pleasure of meeting him on several occasions. He was without question a manic. But extremely friendly and humble. Those lows manics/bipolars deal with are no joke. Its scary that at his age it can still screw with you to this point.

Sad. Makes this scene from worlds greatest dad even more creepy since it's being reported that he died due to asphyxia:

Itd be more emotional if every asshole hasnt mentioned it or chaned their picture to him on fuckbook.
“I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people, except for few public officials.” (George Mason, 3 Elliot, Debates)

“A militia, when properly formed, are in fact the people themselves…and include all men capable of bearing arms.” (Richard Henry Lee, Additional Letters from the Federal Farmer (1788)

Normally Id agree. But many of us grew up with his work , and unlike 99.999% of Hollywood he was extremely genuine and kind. Im sure he had some actual crazy moments but what you saw was what you got with him. One minute hes quiet shy and sweet the next hes acting crazy and doing voices to make people laugh.

It's one of the saddest things to think about, someone who brings so many people so much joy can't find any in their own life

Reading around seems like a rumor had gone around his show would be picked up for another season which brought him to tears of joy. Then it was actually cancelled which Im sure triggered a bout or deepened lingering depression.
Thing about BPD its not about finding joy. Theres little rationality. Its a downswing that comes with the territory , just as he didnt need to find inspiration or motivation to be bat shit crazy and energetic nor did he need to rationalize any sadness bouts. Interactions and incidents can trigger and deepen like I said...but sadly its just part of a fucked up inevitable evenflow they have to deal with. IIRC 20% of BiPolars take their own lives , 90% of marriages involving 1 or both Bipolars end in divorce. Its a weird kind of crazy. Those on meds are usually totally different people. Some refuse because because it also prevents those euphoric highs they get normal people may never experience. Alot of incidents with artists that involve alcohol and drugs are usually them outletting from these swings.

btw love this wiki story about Robin

While studying at Juilliard, Williams befriended Christopher Reeve. They had several classes together in which they were the only students, and they remained good friends for the rest of Reeve's life. Williams visited Reeve after the horse riding accident that rendered him a quadriplegic, and cheered him up by pretending to be an eccentric Russian doctor (similar to his role in Nine Months). Williams claimed that he was there to perform a colonoscopy. Reeve stated that he laughed for the first time since the accident and knew that life was going to be okay.[25]

Robin Williams AMA good read.. love his line about Canada
((I will be there as soon as I can! You have to give me a more specific location, you are a big country. You are the kindest country in the world. You are like a really nice apartment over a meth lab. ))

I wept like an emotionally disturbed infant when I watched "What Dreams May Come." What was the most valuable thing you learned about your acting from that movie/what criticism stuck with you the most afterwards?

Can't wait to catch your CBS show, looks hilarious. Cheers!

                      You go girl!

That every moment in life is precious? That the gifts of your relationships with others, don't miss it. That was one of the hardest movies I think I ever did in my whole career. Every day was literally hell, because of the nature of the subject matter, dealing with death and being in hell literally. When I watched the final movie, I felt it was extraordinarily beautiful but I felt disappointed by the ending. There was a different ending that they shot that I felt was much more true to the story. It was about reincarnation, basically, that they were going to meet again. The movie ended with two babies being born simultaneously, one in Bombay and one in the United States, and they held them up, and then the screen went to black. I don't know if it's anywhere.

Now there are sad things known to man,
but ain't too much sadder than
                        the tears of a clown
                        when there's no one around.

With all of the violence and sadness in the world, it seems like we depend more on those who make us laugh to forget how things are around us. When they leave, the void seems greater than it otherwise would.

Just shows that money, status, awards mean nothing when it comes to depression. So many people struggle with mental health issues, regardless of their status.
