    Crawford gone?

During a conference call with season ticket holders, it became obvious that Jamal Crawford lacks any supporters in Golden State.

The call featured Warriors president Robert Rowell and general manager Larry Riley.

Marcus Thompson of the Contra Costa Times recapped the call on Thursday night.

"Jamal Crawford is outta here. Riley sounded like he shared [coach Don] Nelson's sentiments that Crawford isn't a fit. So count him among the players being shopped heavily this summer. He did say Crawford wouldn't be just given away, though," Thompson wrote.

    1984 Record: 44-38 (9th in west)
    1985 Record: 42-40 (7th in west; 1st round exit)
1986 Record: 51-31 (3rd in west; swept in finals)

The Grizzlies theme this season should be : "This Season, We're Doing It For The Lulz"

Makes sense why they would get rid of him seeing how they have monta ellis, azubuike, morrow, maggette, and belinelli who can all fit the SG position. Crawford is gonna cost them 19.5 million over the next two tears as well.

I'm not really a huge fan of Crawford in general, but I bet they'll get decent value for him nonetheless. His contract isn't too bad considering his scoring capabilities.

Jamal Crawford is the best player in NBA history to never go to the playoffs.

Hes also scored 50 for 3 different teams.. I think only 3-4 players have done that. Crawford is a baller.

He can definitely ball. His trade value will be lessened imo because of how badly they want him out.

Nelson told crawford "opt out or you're gone"

You honestly think he'd opt out of 10 million dollars in this economy? pfft.

i don't think its a matter of money to him. I would opt out if it meant going to a good team who can compete? this guy has never had a very good shot at winning the title.

Blaze, I agree with what you said. Maybe not top 10, but I think top 15-20 player one a winning team IMO.

Im sure they'll do all they can to trade him but I highly doubt hes opting out. Crawford would be a great addition to a team looking for a scoring punch off the bench or as a starting 2-guard.

Rarely do you see guys this good struggle to find teams in countless cities. Makes me wonder how bad his character is.

I dont even think Jamal has character issues. He might take the odd bad shot but ive heard nothing but positive things about Jamal. The basketball gods just arent on his side.

Nellie has always had his heart set on developing young guys as opposed to letting vets play. He sat him in numerous games allowing the younger guys to get more playing time.

Personally, if I were the Magic I'd aim for him. Hedo has already made it clear he isn't coming back. He wants more money and the Magic can't really give it to him with them being locked up with Shard's contract. But then again, Courtney Lee has stepped up big as of late. They also have Pietrus. Meh, maybe not the best idea after all.

I could also see a team like the Raptors going for him.

Id love to have him in Toronto. I dont like his size for a 2-guard, but we could desperately use that scoring threat off our bench. But his lack of defense isnt exactly what we need in our starting 5.. we can already score.. we need a stopper badly.

                            Isn't he 6'5? Wade's 6'4. His size seems alright.

He's my 2 guard in my Pacers chise and holds his own. :D

Id say 6'5 is a generous height for Jamal Crawford, hah. Hes still a starting 2, we're just so soft defensively that we couldnt afford to get more soft, which Jamal would make us.
