Should Manny be an All Star?

With the first batch of voting result recently being released Manny Ramirez was fourth in voting for NL outfielders. Joe Torre said he shouldnt be an all star, So I am wondering what VSN thinks.

I dont think he should, but I would be curious to see what the MLB does if he does get voted in as a starter.

Nope. And if the MLB was smart they wouldn't allow him to play if he was voted in. They're the morons who said it's okay as long as his suspension doesn't interfere with the game.

The NFL passed a rule not allowing a player to go to the Pro Bowl or receive an award if he failed a drug test that same year. This was after Merriman was suspended and voted into the pro bowl in 2006. They get it and they don't have as big of a problem as the MLB.

        Absolutely not!

It would not be fair to others, like Juan Pierre who has raped pitchers and played. It would not be fair to a guy who has not played and got suspended and not a guy who took his place and has been on a tear....

I am a Braves fan by the way!

According to the rules yes. This is what happens when you allow fans to vote. Its an all-star game and last time I checked Manny is an All-Star that the fans want to see in the game. Ideally though its not a good thing, but the rules are the rules...MLB should adobt that NFL rule and enact it starting next season.

IMO the fans shouldn't even vote for the teams in the first place, home field advantage lies in the hands of the fans, too much riding on the dumb retard voting for everyone on his favorite team.

"From the time he hits the court, he plays at a competitive level that you rarely see," Popovich says. "He does the exact same things that Kobe (Bryant) does, that Michael Jordan did.

I love to watch the man play ball but missing 50 games, he shouldn't even be eligible.

I know some of you dont like fans voting but if you think about it most of the time (not always) I think they get it right for the most part. Also most of the time the game is decided in the final couple of innings with the players that the coaches and players choose.

If Manny shouldnt be an All-Star then something must be wrong here.

Obviously not, but even without the steroid suspension he would have had some bullshit injury and not shown up.
