I just came up with a little rhyme that is relevant to your thread. "Baseball did not die. You are fucking high". Terrible rhyme, yes, but it presents truth.

read the actual article before you comment guys. He's actually breaking down baseball and the stats during the steroid era and stuff, props to him for putting in all that hard work.

Like I said in another post.

He is basically an awesome writer and has already wrote these. Don't give him shit for them?

Like ATB said in the other thread, you could definitely get into VSN Writers Guild if you talked to Rush.

Athletes have been gaining an edge way before steroids.

Everyone in the 80s was speeding up before games and doing hard drugs. Should they all be banned from the HoF too?

Steroid problems are fixed, it's almost completely wiped out of MLB and MILB. International baseball is another story, but most are caught once they get to the majors. It's the problem that everyone is working to uncover the next steroid user. The media keeps pulling the blanket off a bed that the MLB would wish to keep made(sorry for the shitty analogy).

The "American Pastime" such as the 1930's-1980's built the game of baseball. Steroids crept in from the mid 90's to the mid 2000's, but it's been flushed out. It's just going to take some time to completely get away from it.

Not sure how you can arrive at the conclusion that the steroids issues are fixed when there isn't a test for HGH or hundreds of different designer steroids.

the thing that pisses me off about this list of 104 people if why single out a-rod? that was a list that was supposed to stay unnamed and that bitch had to go and ruin that. wanna know why no one ever mentioned it before? those drugs werent illegal when he took them. so technically, to public knowledge, a-rod never broke the steroid policy. its ridiculous that people are still carrying on with this.

I agree that the names should have been destroyed but what A-Rod did test positive for was a Steroid that I guess you are suppose to take in between your cycles to keep the muscle strength up. In 1991 Fey Vincent added steroids to the banned substance list and encouraged owners to report any suspicions of steroids, but would an owner really report his own player. So yes A-Rod did test positive for banned substance. But alot of the blame has to be on Bud Selig/Players Association for not pushing for a drug testing program in the mid 1990's when there was all that suspicion.

LOL at the idea that A-Roid wasn't effect by steroids use.

If they weren't working for him why was he taking them?

Agree with Mc that players can still be using HgH, designed steroids etc.

but he tested positive for a steroid that was not illegal in baseball at the time he used them. they are illegal now but not back when a-rod used them. he did nothing that went against the steroid policy.

when people who dont know shit about what they are talking about hear that a big name like a-rod tested positive, they immediately think that he broke the rules and is another one on the cheater list. hes not in the same category with those guys at all because to public knowledge he hasnt broken any of the rules about steroids, thus the MLB not suspending him.
