Cool beans, we definitely need another bat as if this month hasn't proven that already. Hopefully it's not for too much his splits are the following

    .247/12/40 with 81K's...441 slugging and .770OPS

11:45am: What you need to know about LaRoche: He's a 29-year-old first baseman with a history of hitting well in the second half; his defense is slightly below average; he makes $7.05MM this year before becoming a free agent and he's on the cusp of projecting as a Type B free agent, though he's currently below the cut.

just another tidbit on Laroche..perfect fit if Lowell's hip falters. Anyone know if he can play a little corner outfield?

Alex Speier of WEEI has confirmed that Manny Delcarmen is not involved.

I am also wondering if we are going to send Masterson down since he is struggling to have an extra bench player.

I dont think so, the only position he has played in his career is 1st.

Also, a link that says the same thing:

Now the Sox have some good options with Youk, Lowell, and LaRoche. They don't have to worry about becoming the New York Mets and field a AAA team due to any injuries.

i was laughing @ Neyers comments from espn

Also, Andy LaRoche isn't ... well, he's just not all that good.
                    lol Also
Where does LaRoche fit, anyway? I suppose that David Ortiz could use a platoon partner, but that's not going to work since he and LaRoche bat left-handed.

I dont really no much about Strickland but Argenis Diaz has excellent range at shortstop but I dont see his hitting be that good.

Is Diaz major league ready? Just wondering because we all know Wilson's time with the Pirates is about to end.
