That's the problem with White Sox fans, and why I constantly hate a lot of them.

Why the fuck are you so worried about the Cubs, when your pitcher threw a perfect game? enjoy the moment. Dont automatically think of the Cubs and try rubbing it in their faces lol.

As soon as it happend, I got about 5-10 texts saying stuff like "Buerhle with the perfect! Fuck the cubs!!!"... "Buerhle is perfect!, take that Big Z!!!"... or "Buerhle pitches the South Siders to perfect, Northsiders suck!!!"

Seriously I wish those types of fans would STFU.

Congrats to him though. Great acheivment.

Really one of the only White Sox players I like.

Sorry that the White Sox fans that you deal with our that way. Trust me, most of us real White Sox fans hate those ones too. I barely even talk about the Cubs with other Sox fans because it's retarded.

They are them. We are us. Who the hell cares.

Just want to make sure you don't think every White Sox fan is like that. I honestly never once mentioned the Cubs at any point during the day. To me, who the fuck cares... we aren't SHOWING the Cubs what's up, we're showing the whole damn league. It's a perfect fuckin' game.

        Thank you two.

LOL at "sticking it to the Northsiders'. How the hell does a White Sox perfect game against the Rays stick anything to the Cubs? LOL at that.

Congrats to Buerhle. One of my favorite players. It will be interesting to see if he ever ends up in St Louis.

What's weird about Buehrle is I wonder if he even plays past his current deal. This is a guy who while he loves baseball, could really care less if he stopped playing, he has a family, a hobby, not a big spotlight guy. He'd be happy tomorrow walking away and hunting in Missouri for the rest of his life.

I really, really want to see him end out his career though because I feel like you're getting a better version of Jamie Moyer. Jamie Moyer with more STUFF. Jamie Moyer with some serious HOF credentials if he can continue on the pace he's at now.

I just don't know though. Something tells me he'll end his deal with the White Sox, play a year in St. Louis or whatever, then call it a day. But you never know.

              Exactly.

I know all White Sox fans are not like that. I actually have good conversations with White Sox fans.

But theres some, and some for the Cubs too, that rub it in eachothers faces way to much. The only time that should happen is when the teams play eachother.

When Big Z threw the no hitter. I never once mentioned the White Sox lol.

I'm glad your not one of those fans.

Trust me, they annoy the hell out of me too.

For those wondering about Buehrle's HOF potential.

I would put Buerhle in the HOF. He's a real good pitcher, that a lot of people really dont know about.
Sure he plays in Chicago, a big market, but lets face it. Chicago is a Cubs city for baseball. it will always be like that.

BTW, How many career wins does he have?

This is a good time to go over all his stuff.

Baseball-Reference to the rescue! I'll explain for the statistical newbz

Buehrle 162-game average (so an average season basically): 15-10, 3.78 ERA, 1.264 WHIP, 123 ERA+

                      For reference, as chaz mentioned....

                      Johan Santana 162-game average: 15-7, 3.10 ERA, 1.109 WHIP, 144 ERA+

So, I still take Santana based off those numbers but Buehrle is no slouch. His numbers are right up there with one of the elite pitchers in the league.

                      Career W/L for Buehrle:

                      132 wins-90 losses

A cool feature Baseball Reference has as well is the Hall of Fame Monitor, which basically gauges statistically where you are relative to other Hall of Famers with a few different criteria.

                      Here's where they have Buehrle

                      Black Ink Pitching - 8 (290), Average HOFer ≈ 40
                      Gray Ink Pitching - 89 (261), Average HOFer ≈ 185
                      Hall of Fame Monitor Pitching - 34 (389), Likely HOFer ≈ 100
                      Hall of Fame Standards Pitching - 21 (267), Average HOFer ≈ 50

So obviously, he's not REALLY there. A lot of it I think deals with strikeouts. Dominant pitching is usually considered high strikeout pitching and Mark just does not have that. He gives up hits at a pretty large pace but uses grounders to get out of jams. That's not considered "ELITE" pitching but really once his career is over, I hope it is, because the guy has put up great numbers in his career despite never having top tier stuff.

I was talking about specific White Sox fans in general.

Why would it even concern the Cubs anyway? Idk why you posted Northsiders.
