I read it verbatim...House became Rangers pitching coach in 1985, four years before Ryan threw a single pitch for Texas, and during this incorrect timeperiod House became "notable" for his work with Nolan Ryan. Meaning, he became "notable" to the public, not "notable" to Nolan Ryan personally. I don't remember Tom House busting onto the scene because of his work with Nolan Ryan. As I said before, which you were too dense to understand, House had been the pitching coach with Texas for 4 years before Ryan was on the team, and Ryan's performance did NOT dramatically improve once he came under House's tutelage. He was a HOFer before he went to the Rangers.
