Official National League Race to The Playoffs Thread!

So it looks like it will come down to the final month for the NL West crown and the NL Wild card. IMO the only sure bets to make the playoffs is the Cardinals and Phillies. Rockies start a HUGE 10 game stretch that should show if they are a legit contenders. Personally I like the Rockies to win the NL West and shock everyone. I'd love to see the Giants get the wildcard and the Dodger get left out!

Same with the Brewers, they had a August schedule full of games against the Padres, Nationals and Pirates, and they went right down the shitter.

Rockies beat up on the Giants tonight!

Up 2 in the wildcard again.

            Damn Cubs couldn't win though...

Braves only 4 out, and playing well. Stranger things have happened.

The Rockies have had an amazing run so far.

Hoping the young Marlins can stay in there. Still in the NL East hunt and def. the wild card.

Rockies added Jason Giambi and Russ Ortiz.

I like the moves even though they aren't blockbusters like the John Smoltz pick up.

                        Hopefully not strike out.

Call it a shot in the dark but I bet he does more for the Rockies then Freddy Sanchez will do for the Giants.

Damn the Giants are fucking using a lot pitchers this series. I wounder if fatigue will set in at all for their next series!

Here's hopeing we get a run this inning so that Marquis can get a league best 15th win!

If the Cardinals play .500 ball (18-18) the rest of the season, The Cubs would have to go 28-12 to tie them.

The schedule favors the Cubs though a bit... 32 total games with the Mets, Brewers, 'Stros, Reds, Diamondbacks and Pirates. They would need to win around 23-25 of those games.

They also have a 3 game set with the Cardinals September 18th-20th.... So they would need to trim the lead to atleast 4 games before that series. And hope for a sweep.

ugh...not looking bright for my Cubs.
