Yea I moved down here from Philly in 2007, it took me a 1.5 years to get used to this town. The plus side is the weather. Definitely nice weather, and thats a plus for outdoor activities and if you are a gear head, then you can get yourself a nice RWD performance ride

Plust compared to Philly this town his half as cheap, and I am sure 3x as cheap as NYC.

I'd like to know what his numbers are like in the postseason against LHP. I was going to try to scrounge it up but just got a crapload of work dumped into my lap.

Brett Myers is on the WS roster and Miguel Cairo is out. Cairo was useless. I know a lot of people knock Eric Bruntlett, but as far as I can tell, the dude is always involved positively somehow during the game. Cairo was underwhelming at the plate.

Having Myers on the roster gives us another right hander to throw against the Yankees. I hope he's healthy enough to bring the heat.

Cairo is better than Bruntlett. Bruntlett always seemed to be involved in a big play because he was our fastest player off the bench (how sad is that) so he was usually a pinch runner late in the game. He just had the benefit of having someone knock him in. He is horrible as a major league player.

I don't mind adding Myers, we could probably use the pitching help this series. They'll probably use Myers more than they'd use Cairo in this series, especially since we have the DH option for 4 of the 7 games.

They would also use Bruntlett out in the field more than cairo i say. Cairo was limited to the infield. Bruntlett can play 4-5 positions out there, w/o losing much in fielding ability.

Pumped for this series to start. I think it should go 6 or 7, with (hopefully) the Phillies winning it. The Yankees are the best team in the MLB, so I wouldnt be surprized if we lost it. Either way, I really like that Lee could possibly pitch 3 games in this series, if it goes 7. Im hoping his starts in game 1 and 4 net us 2 wins, and if that happens we have a really good shot. Problem is that CC will be facing him every time, so well see.

The Phillies hit CC really well last postseason, hopefully they can continue that.

...and what makes it even better... Ill be at the Bronx for game 1.
              RIP HK, JJ

So that Cliff Lee is pretty good.

We still playing LA? Lot of empty seats in Yankee stadium.................

Well when u have a pitcher like Cliff Lee who was unbelievable any hitter would look bad.

All u can do is tip ur cap and move on to game two tomorrow, where i think it is a must win for the yankes, don't want to go down 0-2 to philly

WTF does that even mean? Lee and only Lee was the reason the Yankees lineup looked that bad. Only Jeter looked like he had a clue up there.

Sabathia did great outside of Utley, and on any other night, it may have been enough.

The youth in the Yankees bullpen (outside of Rivera) is going to hurt them, IMO.

What a fucking statement by this Phillies team who, according to some, shouldn't have even showed up because the big, bad Yankees were going to embarrass them.

Only 1 game though, still alot more work to be done and the Yankees will come back strong tomorrow night. Hopefully we can continue our success vs. Burnett.

I like the Yanks to take Game 1. Lee and Sabathia will be a duel but the Yankees will get to Lee first. An over 5.00 career ERA versus the Yanks. Add in the Yankees eat up left handed pitchers, and just don't lose at home.
I actually like this one better than I like the Yankees in 4 quote. Yankees fans were quite confident going into game 1.

It's still too early to start throwing shit back in people's faces but damn did that win feel great. Especially after all the NY media bullshit that was going on all week.

I think the Phils can get to Burnett and hopefully Pedro can keep up his great pitching this season. I'm interested in seeing how long Charlie sticks with Pedro tonight.

If we win tonight, I don't think we come back to NY. If we lose tonight, then Game 3 will be enormous. We need Hamels to step up regardless, but if its 1-1, winning game 3 would be huge so we don't have to use Lee in Game 4 on short rest.
