Personally, I still don't think that it was inconclusive or that there was enough to overturn it. But as I said before, in the end it didn't end up mattering.

The big deal is, the curve is not his best pitch.....and every time he threw the curve the Yanks pounded it.....even the fox crew were bewildered he would choose to throw Pettitte that lolipop.....if you get beat, ideally you would want it to be against your best pitch

Noone here is an MLB pitcher but you don't throw your THIRD best pitch to the opposing pitcher. Honestly every pitcher (except CC because he LOVES hitting) should be an easy out. He throws a curve to Swisher, double. Curve to Pettite, rbi single. The flood gates opened after that and it ended up being to much for Philly to overcome.

Hopefully CC can go the distance tonight or we can win by a lot. I don't think Mo will be able to go again after pitching 3 innings the past 2 games.

Exactly. I don't pretend to know how to pitch, but basic logic would tell you that that was a mistake. Having watched probably 90-95% of Phillies games this season, and quite possibly every Hamels start, I can tell you that his curveball hasn't looked good ALL season. So why would you use it as your payoff pitch on what is supposed to be the easiest out? It's just crazy.

Hamels is hurt.

I can't prove it, but there's something wrong with him physically IMO. He's not the same guy and that grated on his confidence.

Last night was a great example of him losing faith in himself, but his stuff just isn't as electric regardless.
