This WS is going to be the end of me. Back to New York.

Tell me about it. Sheesh. I'm not that confident about Game 6 because it's obvious that without a CG gem our bullpen can't win without a huge lead (and even then just barely). I do think they can get to Petitte on 3 days rest, but we shall see.

Love Andy but not sure with this 3 days rest thing.

Going with AJ today may have indeed fucked us over.

Girardi needs to have Gaudin ready at the first sign of real trouble on Wednesday. Can't take chances.

I know we can hit Pedro, no matter how much rest he gets.

Great game...my only problems were why did Lee start the 8th?? And why would Charlier take Victorino out 5 innings after he proved his hand was good enough to stay in the game?

Got scary at the end there, but a win is a win at this point.

Game 6 will be interesting. From SI's Jon Heyman's twitter: pettitte told teammates he had "nothing'' in game 3, so it'll be interesting to see how he does on short rest in game 6

That probably doesn't mean anything, but Pettitte's career ERA on 3 days rest is over 4 I believe. If we can get to him early like Game 3 and get Gaudin in the game, we should be OK.

We just need Pedro to go 6 inn of 3 run ball , or just keep us in the game. Yankees will be fired up at home. I honestly think winning game 6 will be the tougher of the 2 games to win.

He took him out because after Victorino's next at bat he shook his hand in pain after making contact with the ball.....guess he didn't want to take any chances with him damaging it any further....

If it was that bad, why did he let him continue to play until the 8th inning and have a few at bats after that? I couldn't tell how bad it was since I was at the game but after listening to his post game quotes, it sounded like he was fine, or at least well enough to play.

Oh well, at least it didn't cost us a W.

I dunno, it wasn't even broken. You keep him in there just to field I think, as that double by A-Rod would have been a fly ball out to Francisco. In the last two innings you want arguably your best defensive field, and definitely your best outfielder, out there to protect the lead. Saving him up would be silly considering if that had blown up more, there wouldn't be a lead to save him for.

BTW, I have respect for some Yankees (Jeter, Mariano, Tex) but damn is Jorge Posada quickly going up my most hated players list. What a whiny bitch. It was so great seeing that one AB where he didn't get time called, then went down looking on strikes. Him and Swisher are my most hated Yankees right now....lol.

Was it just me, or did Swisher bitch about EVERY strike called on him? With that smarmy little grin. That was really bugging me.

And yeah, that Posada at-bat was just great.

I know he was doing it in Game 4....it was really annoying. Dude is trash, go take a seat you bum.

The Posada AB reminded me of Utley's from night before when CC threw a quick-pitch before he was ready.

Someone tell me what the hell is Swisher looking at in the sky right before he settles in the box?!

To all Philly fans, lets just concentrate on Game 6. We need to treat this as a one game series.

No doubt. IMO Game 6 is gonna be the hardest game to win. I hope Pedro and our offense shows up.

Ok, talked to a Yankee fan here at work. Swisher is looking up at his late Grandma, which I respect as much as I can't stand his fidgety ass.

Looks like Myers is trying to fire up Hollywood:
One witness says the two got into it after Brett Myers mocked Cole Hamels for his "I can't wait for it to end" comment.

Between that and Victorino getting hit, this team might be fired up enough.

And check out Maddog calling his battle with Jeter..."Fun" These guys are crazy
The Phillies aren't quite ready to hand over their championship belts, and in Game 5, they fought off the Yankees and forced this World Series back to New York.

You know, Hamels hasn't been great this year, but that quote has been so overblown and taken out of context it's ridiculous. It's like the Mets as chokers comment all over again.
