    Three Way Blockbuster Goes Down

2:56pm: Heyman tweets that a three-way deal has been agreed to with Halladay going to the Phillies and Lee to the Mariners. The Phillies are now trying to sign Halladay to an extension. However, in a subsequent tweet, Heyman apologizes for a quick trigger finger and says that while the Ms are confirmed as the third team he is checking to verify they'll get Lee.
WOW. Great move by all teams in my opinion.

All I can hope is that while Doc Halladay will be epic in the NL, Cole Hamels will suck it up and the bullpen will only become worse.

              PLEASE~!

I'm sorry I don't trade Lee, who was so dominant in the NL...though they seem unlikely to sign Lee...like I've heard, Lee wants C.C. money...Halladay may want less...crazy...seems like taking two steps forward and going back a bit.

though Doc in the NL is hella epic.

If you guys don't think this is a good deal for us then your just kidding yourselves. As of right now we keep all of our top prospects, trade away a guy who basically refused to take an extension with us and pick up arguably the best pitcher in baseball, who wants to take an extension and probably finish his career here. Things are looking good in Philadelphia.

yes but you can also look at it as Ace for 1 year is now traded for an Ace for 4 years.

Works out for the Phils in the long run. The Mariners can pay Lee the CC money if they need too, they don't have financial problems.

Point is, the Phillies are just as good, if not better right now with Halladay then they were with Lee.
