Classic clueless asshole remark about Philly fans.
If I got ESPN your point might be valid.

lol didn't we have this arguement where philly fans thought they were one of the best while everyone else knew they were dumb as shit? I could of sworn it was on vsn somewhere.

I don't recall the argument, but your attempt at alluding to it just demonstrates how fucking dumb you are. Please read the area that I placed in bold and reevaluate your sarcasm/douchebaggery level.

        Why you getting so heated?

When I say I think it was on vsn it was because it might of been on MM. I can't remember.

Chill out man. Your just feeding into the stereotype I threw out.

I'll give you Philly fans can be assholes, but no way are Philly fans dumb. Call me biased, but Philly fans are smart when it comes to sports. We understand the game and situations better than most, if not all, fan bases out there.

We may do dumb shit to other team's fans or players, but when it comes to the game itself, Philly fans recognize the little things (no matter what sport it is) that most casual sports cities don't see.

You're making an incorrect statement about the city that I live in that's stupid, and you won't even back it up with anything. You just keep saying silly shit like "stay classy Philly". I'd be surprised if you were ever even in Philly.

just read this today but i think halladay is better than lincecum. Timmy may have nastier stuff but Halladay dam well knows how to pitch and seeing him leave the AL East is a pleasure. the guy is nasty and just wait and see how much better he will make you guys, ill even say he will be better than lee just for the fact the dude will pitch alot of complete games so you wont have to worry about that bullpen.

true but i get what gangstae is saying.

Halladay will be going the distance quite often...he can easily go 130-140 pitches...

plus i feel not messing with a DH and instead going up against a pitcher + weaker NL lineups...I think he'll have a TON of CG's.

                  over/under 13 1/2...whatcha taking?

Halladay struggled in the 2nd half last season, I wouldn't be surprised if Philly didn't let him go the distance as much in hopes of getting a rested Halladay for the 2nd half/playoff run.

I dont think "struggled" is the right word. He went on a pretty bad stretch after coming back from injury.. and I questioned how inspired he was through all the trade talks, but after the injury passed he went back to his fairly dominant self.

Cliff was tied for second in CG with 6 right behind Roy Halladay with 9 last season

I was happier then pigs in shit when I heard the deal went down but honestly how much better is Halladay then Lee? I understand the whole money situation but Lee was pretty dominant for most of his time spent with the Phillies. It'll be hard for anyone to play better, IMO.
                          I agree...

but that gets me back to why they made the trade in the 1st place.

You likely won't get better results than u did with Lee, he got you two wins in the WS...what's more to obtain?

This didn't make the team world beaters, it's maybe a small upgrade? Now if they had both, well you could literally put the phils in the WS and take it from there.

It is a small upgrade for the Phillies
