Honestly I'm not that familiar with any team's farm system other than the Brewers, but I'd say the Braves. They've got some good prospects coming up.
Which team has the brightest future?

At first glance, I'd have gone with Baltimore, since they have like a full 5 man rotation of young guys either up already, or on their way in Matusz, Tillman, Arrieta, Britton, and Erbe, as well as a young core in Wieters, Jones, Pie, Reimold, Markakis, etc.
However, considering that they have to contend with the Yankees, Sox, and Rays in the AL east, it kind of dims their future a little bit.
Texas has a whole boatland of talent out there in the AL West. Feliz, Holland, Smoak, Davis, Borbon, Martin Perez etc. Hard to bet against them having big things in their future.
In the NL, it has to be the Marlins, as usual. They already got a fairly young core in Johnson, Nolasco, Hanley, et al, as well as Morrison and Stanton on the way up.Comment

The Baltimore Orioles look promising, but they play in the AL East. We won't see anyone in the AL East make the playoffs except for Boston and New York.Originally posted by Leftwich 2-14-2009I wasn't comparing myself to Wildcard. I honestly don't think I could compare myself to God.

Originally posted by DET ClutchDodgers - Kemp, Eithier, Kershaw. They could use some more pitching but they have some great young players.
Tigers - Cabrera, Verlander, Porcello, Perry, Schlereth, Scherzer, Jackson, Sizemore. (homer and truth lol)
Braves - Jurrjens, Hanson, Heyward, Escobar.
Rangers - Andrus, Neftali Feliz. Them alone will win keep Texas relevant.Comment

As much as I wanna say Mariners I cant because we traded our whole farm system for Erik Bedard, so Im going Orioles.Comment

Seriously why are people picking the Dodgers?!?!?
After the suck fest of a season they have this year they will be cost cutting and trading talent like Kemp, Either and Krenshaw for young minor league talent. They are about ready to blow that team up and take on a big rebuilding project soon. The signs are all there, look at the talent they let go this off season in FA.
They missed they're window to win a world series...
Back on topic.
As much as I hate to say it the Phillies probably have the best out look for the future. They have a good mix of young talent and top tier Vets both in the line up and on the pitching staff.Last edited by BroncoBlue; 03-09-2010, 06:24 PM.Comment
