    10 Bold Predictions

Not sure if I have 10 but I have a few

    1. The Nationals won't finish in last place in the NL East.
They've made a ton of small, yet important signings to a team that was already improving drastically late in the 2009 season. Hate to say it but I think their move out of the cellar comes at the expense of the Mets.

    2. The Giants will go to the World Series
They have the pitching to go deep into the playoffs and adding Mark Derosa, Aubrey Huff, and a full year of Freddy Sanchez will help with the offense.

    3. Drew Storen will have a bigger impact than Stephen Strasburg
Storen is overshadowed by Strasburg but people forget that he was a top 10 selection himself. Storen is primed to be a tremendous reliever and should be a bigger addition to the club this year than Strasburg is.

Only have two for now but will post more as I think of them.

    1. David Ortiz will hit 35 HR: After the horrendous start Ortiz eventually finished with ok numbers in terms of HR and RBIs. He was near or at the top of the league in Homeruns after June 16th (I think). If he hits for power like he did the second half of last season then he could get 35 HR

    2. Orioles will have 85 Wins: Really like some of the Orioles move this offseason. I think their lineup is pretty good and also have a young decent rotation especially with the addition of Millwood.

        1. The Phillies will make it to the playoffs, but it wont be as a division winner.
        2. The Mariners will make it to the ALCS.
        3. Two of the Yankees starting 5 this year will get injured for an extended period of time.
        4. The AL Central will once again be decided on the last day of the regular season.
        5. So will the NL East.
        6. And the NL Wildcard.
        7. The Dodgers will finish below .500.
        8. Jurrjens will have an ERA over 3.25 and will finish with 13 wins or less.
        9. Wang will top 10 wins, even on the Nationals squad.
        10. Neither the Yankees or the Phillies will be in the World Series this season.

That is bold, it is good to know you can just say a last name and we all know who he is. It means he is an elite pitcher and we all know it. This is very very bold.

1.) - The Nationals will win 80+ games.
2.) - Yunel Escobar will go to his first All-Star game while pulling in his first Silver Slugger award.
3.) - Alex Rodriguez hits less than 20 homers.
4.) - Andrew McCutchen will steal 50+ bases.

I only have 4 as of now. Sorry...

Nope, he will be healthy all year and will do that. Sorry Yankee fans.

                1. The Yankees will not make the playoffs.
                2. The Giants will make the playoffs.
                3. The Nats will have at least 3 All Star Players.
                4. Manny Ramierez will be traded.
                5. David Ortiz bounces back this year.
                6. Albert Pujols sets the new single season HR record.
                7. Joe Mauer wins his second MVP.
                8. The Orioles are in the playoff picture at the end of the year but fall short.
                9. Derek Jeter hits a career low BA this year, I'm talking sub .275.
                10. Zack Greinke will have a sub 2.00 era.

Some very bold predictions. I don't think most of them will happen but wouldn't be surprised if at least 2-3 of them did.

Not a Yankees fan, but that's ridiculous. Good luck with that.

I think people are confusing the word "bold" and "retarded".

There's a decent chance of it. Zimmerman, Morgan, and Dunn could all do it.
