BTW.. I don't think there is anyone in the MLB right now that will hit 74 HR's in a season but I think Pujols will beat Barry Bond's record.

Beat me to it. I'd peg him for 74 HR. Not career though. He won't be around long enough as a catcher. He'll break down too quick and then be garbage as a DH with the Yankees.

depends on where he gets drafted he plays ss and second also, so a transition to third is possible hes got the arm and accuracy for it

I'm going to have to say nobody currently in the game breaks either.

The only one in baseball I give a shot is A-Rod at 763. He's got 583 currently but turns 35 this season. He would need to play until he's 42 and maintain a 20+ HR pace. I guess looking at the #'s closer if he hangs around for long enough he's got a better shot than I thought.

If he averages 36 HRs a year for the next 5 he will break it. Very plausible because I think over the next few years he will still hit 40+ which means he won't have to hit as many as his career winds down.
