So he goes to a Mariners team who is expected to be a legith playoff contender with all the off-season moves and with the addition of Lee has one of the best 1-2 pitchers in the league. The Mariners don't do shit and decide to get something in return for Lee rather then get nothing at the end of the season.

So now he's with the Rangers and unless they make a strong push deep into the post season he'll most likely hit free agency. If they do I fully expect them to sign him and give him the money he deserves.
I keep seeing this, and it makes me laugh. Expected by who? Who the fuck honestly thought that lineup would hit enough to win games? Pitching and defense only goes so far.

"You mean, we can't win a pennant with Casey Kotchman as our starting first baseman?"
"Our leading HR hitter has 8 dingers at the AS break, will that be enough power?"

NO and NO....Big fucking surprise guys, you can't win a division title without a single good (or even average) power hitter.

Anyone who thought the M's would be a contender this season was either:

    A. An M's fan

    or

    B. A dumb ass

        lol

What the fuck ever. We'll still kick your ass in the ALDS, we'll still sign him in the winter and we'll still hold on to Jesus Montero or trade him for something more useful.

I wasn't crazy about giving up Montero for Lee, and I'm happy with the way the staff has pitched of late.

I'd rather get bullpen help at this point. Another ace is a luxury.

        Have fun with the rental.

Chris Tillman spoiled Cliff Lee's Rangers debut. Thats the most important thing to me.
