    Jose bautista Speculation

hello i though i would make a thread about Jose Bautista. Do you think he will be traded or not? What would you do if you were A.A.? Post Rumors or proposals..... Apparently the Jays are looking for an Elite prospect.

No one will give them a top prospect since he's having a fluke season. They want to move him because they'll get nailed in arbitration if they keep him.

Bautista is pretty low on the list of outfielders available. If he's moved, Toronto won't get much in return.

Bautista stinks, nobody is fooled by his spike in production. He's been a pretty awful offensive player his entire career.

With that said, Toronto committed highway robbery unloading anothe guy having a career year (Alex Gonzalez), so who knows. A contender could get desperate if someone gets hurt, but all they'll be getting is a .230 hitter who strikes out constantly and hit a bunch of HR's in April & May.

Well it's not like this is unusual practice.

Ask for more than what you expect to get, that's basic bargaining 101. Someone playing for this season will want him, his versatility makes him a useful bench player and he's on point this year.

Elite prospect, not a chance, but that's just where you start and work down to something more realistic.

Dude.. desperate teams trade for players like Baustista who are having "fluke" seasons all the time. GMs put a lot of stock into immediate help and many teams probably feel Jose is going to provide that this season. It'll be interesting to see what Anthopoulos can bag for him.. noone may be fooled by this season, but it wont change that GMs will be willing to sacrifice their future for the help now.

                another 4 for 4 night, 2 dingers and 5 RBI's.

Bautista sure is keeping his value as high as he can

He's been money for my fantasy baseball team. I hope he can keep it up.

Phillies had scouts in Toronto checking out Bautista. I really doubt the Phils would make a move for him, but it was interesting nonetheless.
