    Who Will Win It All?

Who do you think will win the world series?

Personally I think it will be the Twins or Rays.

Both young teams that are hot and on the rise.

Like most years, if the deed to my house and my life savings are at stake, i'm riding the Yankees. They have the best players, no need to make things complicated.

However, the Rays are certainly capable of beating them, and it wouldnt be a complete shock if Minnesota or Texas knocked them off. And the Philles have the best top 3 starters in the playoffs, so they would be my #1(b).

I can't see the Rangers, Reds, Padres, or Braves winning the World Series under any circumstance. And i'm a diehard Reds fans.

After the 2006 season when the barely above .500 Cardinals won the World Series, I can tell you that anyone in the post season has a legitimate shot at winning it all. IT's all about who gets hot at the right time.

I haven't been following baseball much the past month (for obvious reasons being a Cardinals fan), but I'll go with Texas (is Hamelton healthy?) and Atlanta in the World Series. Texas winning it all.

The Phillies are far and away better then any team in the NL and as good or better (with homefeild advantage) then any team in the AL. Also Philly has had the advantage of being able to rest thier players the last week of the regular season. The NL playoffs will be like spring training. I'll take the Phillies in six over the Yankees in the WS.

I'm cheering for a Twins/Giants World Series, I'll puke if I have to watch the Yankees/Phillies again.

If I had to bet, I'd bet on the Phillies right now, take the team that's hot.

I think that the Phils are likely coming out of the NL, even putting homerism aside. Their starting rotation is just too good.

The AL could be interesting, between Tampa, Minnesota and NY. I personally think it's going to be NY v. Philly again, with Philly winning this time because of improved pitching.

I never pick against the Yankees, even though I hate them. To me, they are always the "team to beat" until proven otherwise.

Some guy on ESPN said he liked the Twins, because they have the strongest 4-man pitching rotation, but I think they would be huge underdogs if Mauer and Morneau aren't 100%.

                    You guys suck!

                    Well, other then SethMode*...

I mean really; you don't want to see the best two teams play each other? A Yanks vs Phillies series is what I want to see because those are the two best teams hands down!

The Twins or Tampa Bay would get crushed by the supreme Phillies SP and dominated by the Philies stellar lineup in a WS. Sure they don't have a "sexy" bullpen but they get it done when it counts. Also the NL is soooooo weak this year the Phillies will defentley come into the world series with a rested and formative bullpen. People really under estimate how key the Philly bullpen
will be because of great starting pitching and a weak NL.

Oh shit I forgot to mention the fact that the Phillies are tailor made for "hitter parks" like NY CIN and Phila...

The only team that stands a chance vs. Philly is the SF Giants, but they aren't kidding anyone... The Giants won't make is out of the first round because of such an anemic offense, which dosent pose a threat against timely/clutch hitting *cough* Jason Werth / Chase Utley *cough*.....

AND THE PHILLIES HAVE HOMEFIELD THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PLAYOFFS!

*Sethmode knows how good this team is but he doesn't want to admitit because he's Superstitious.

PS. I can't wait to see Charlie do some bad ass lawyering in "The World Sieries Defense part Dos."

Obviously I'm hoping it's my Phillies, the pitching is better than it has been in a very long time, and the line up 1-8 is very solid, Ruiz bats 8th and he's one of the most clutch hitters on the team. Not sure I'd want them to play the Giants though, yeah their offense is shaky but their pitching is also very good.

IMO, riding "hot" into the postseason means jack shit.

                        Pitching, pitching, pitching.

I say Phils have the best shot. But it's all about the arms in their case. They're bats haven't been impressive of late.

Exact opposite for the Yanks. No one can win games other than CC right now. They are completely dependent on Pettitte's health right now.

Not a good place to be.

Based upon? I mean, I don't want to sound like a homer here but, how can you say they haven't been impressive of late when they've been the best team in all of baseball in the last month?

NO question!!!!! Not to mention all the injuries late in the season. I'd bet my house the Phillies slug thier way out of the first round of the playoffs.
