Is it the TBS mikes or does it sound like the Phils are hitting Cueto's fastball just early everytime they make contact?

Ibanez's flyball sounded weird and that out by Shane should have been a harder hit single to left center.

      It's gotten comical.

At least it shouldn't matter much with Cole up.

yeah but then again would be better to have him lead off next inning.

either way its pretty sad that a team that lead the league in defense would have this many errors in 3 games, and its not the guys with questionable defense like Gomes.

I'll tell you if Joey Votto ever wants to make elite status he is going to have to cut down on his Strike Outs.

What exactly do you consider "elite status"?

He led the league in OBP, SLG, and OPS. And he's going to win MVP.

I know your frustrated, but c'mon.

but he strikes out way too much, the one area that he doesn't even come close to Albert in.

how fitting it will be Rolen to end the game he looked like he was throwing the series for the Phillies

It's like I said when the Reds clinched, anything else was just gravy. Remember, they were built to win in 2012, so they are waaay ahead of schedule. This is an extremely young team, with 6 young pitchers who have the potential to be either very very good or become aces. Most of the regulars are either just entering their prime or on the cusp of entering it. They have a big time prospect behind Votto who can be traded for the right part. Same thing at 3B if they stick with Rolen for a few more years.

After 15 years of bad teams (except for '99), this was a fun season. This team should be good for many years, they really are stacked with good young players.

well just remember how excited we were after the 99 season, and then well you know the story.

no question 91 wins is way above expectations for this team, and there is a lot to be happy about in the future. I just hope the right moves are made or else it will just be a fluke season.
