The umps need to be extra vigilant with their calls in this series. Neither team scores a ton of runs and all these games are going to be close. They can't let a mistake like that happen in this series.

They can't make a mistake like that happen in any series. Sure, the games will most likely be closer, but it doesn't make a difference. A bad call is a bad call. Umpiring has been horrible already. It's really embarrassing for baseball.

I don't even get how you could miss that call, it's clear that Brooks was attempting the tag before he got to the base, all you have to do is listen for the pop of the glove on the player and watch the foot hit the base....

Or just, I don't know, walk forward a few steps? Really inexplicable blown call because the throw obviously beat him.

I wouldn't say that man.........if they don't blow that call the game is tied 0-0 in the 9th. No way they let Lincecum pitch more than 9 innings, so you could have done damage to the bullpen.

Shitty call period.......and I bet there will be a make up call in game 2 and it will be so obvious everyone will be pissed.
