I'm pretty sure at the beginning of the season Sports Illustrated had a long article about him. The pretty much called the shot so to speak and hyped him,Obviously for good reason.

It was a very liberal strike zone, but to be fair, it was consistant for both sides the entire game. Another night, another ump, you are looking at a bunch of 1-0 counts instead of nearly all 0-1 counts, but all you can ask the ump to do is call it the same for every pitcher, and he did. Rolen got rung up on a bad one, but the rest were the same bordeline pitches the ump was calling all night.
